The Grand Prix-style competition ranks only behind the World Championships and Olympic Games in prestige.<\/p>\n<p>The Manchester round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup will take place on 23-25 February 2007. Competitors from over 30 nations will be bidding for individual and team titles.<\/p>\n<p>Each round comprises 14 disciplines &#8211; eight for men and seven for women. Competition is spread over three days.<\/p>\n<p>Events range in distance from the 500 metres women&#8217;s time trial to the 40-kilometre men&#8217;s Madison.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldtrackcycling.com\/manchesterVelodrome.shtml\">Block P&#8230;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>and right next to the bar Saturday and Sunday, thankyou very much Mr. Credit Card!<\/p>\n<p>Now, to book a hostel bed and find a club where I wont be stabbed within the first 30min.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manchester is one of four major cities on three continents hosting the 2006-07 UCI Track World Cup.
