Manchester is one of four major cities on three continents hosting the 2006-07 UCI Track World Cup. The Grand Prix-style competition ranks only behind the World Championships and Olympic Games in prestige.<\/p>\n
The Manchester round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup will take place on 23-25 February 2007. Competitors from over 30 nations will be bidding for individual and team titles.<\/p>\n
Each round comprises 14 disciplines – eight for men and seven for women. Competition is spread over three days.<\/p>\n
Events range in distance from the 500 metres women’s time trial to the 40-kilometre men’s Madison.<\/i><\/p>\n
