I was trying to get &#8216;The Tank&#8217; ready for bike polo last night and ran out of time to ride in. I didn&#8217;t even have time to scam free food! Horror of horrors!<\/p>\n<p>I guess I did ride to and from the stations &#8211; does that count?<\/p>\n<div class=\"leftbox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/thehippy.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/media\/20041006-polomc.jpg\" width=\"209\" height=\"290\" alt=\"Bike Polo\" title=\"Bike Polo\"><\/div>\n<p>Bike polo was fun. I wasn&#8217;t going to play because I only had the overgeared GT SS, no mallet of my own and I was clipped in. It turns out Dave S had a spare mallet and I only came close to toppling over a couple of times (it was on grass &#8211; nothing to worry about). The game was played near Melbourne Storm&#8217;s training ground on the corner of Punt and Swan. There was 6 of us and we played a few rounds in the space of an hour or so. I think most of the guys went to the Corner for beer but I had someone cooking dinner for me so I couldn&#8217;t pass that up. After dinner I rode home so I guess for me it was Ride From Work Day&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ride To Work Day..
