Xmas Ride

A bunch of us headed out for a loop of London on Christmas Day. Top idea from Object and a nice ride with quite a few more people than I expected joining in.

Thanks for the pics Horatio. Merry xmas all!

  1. Hey Stu,

long time no see/hear. A ride on Christmas day sounds fun! Is the Condor a christmas present to ones self?

Hope the cold and wet are not getting you down to much. The sunshine and 40degC days here are quite nice!

    Hugs Tee

  2. Nice one bruvva! Row and I are toying with the idea of buying single speeds to ride through Malawi on. Not fancy ones, but all steel work bikes that they use to carry everything from people to loads of woods, 150kg + of maize (they get off and push them) goats, the works. Just depends on how my left knee and it’s still recovering Posterior Cruciate Ligament goes (do they ever recover?)

Malawi is nice, but in a country which (according to another backpacker) has 40% of it’s GDP come from foreign aid, I’m a bit tired of being hassled by all and sundry. Other than that, cool cool.

A belated Merry Christmas to you and Mal.

    And you Tee!

  3. Hi Tee,

The Condor wasn’t really an xmas pressie. It was more of an upgrade for a slightly ill-fitting hack bike. Did you get any goodies for xmas?

The cold here sucks. It’s not too bad today but has been awful. Snowed on the weekend. I’m not that bothered by cold or rain but hitting invisible black ice out on a ride out of London can mean broken bones, etc. Give me 40degC!

Merry Xmas and all the best for 2009!

Ant, nice to see you guys still trekking away. I’d love to go for another bike tour. It’s hard to detach from a comfortable life though isn’t it?

Go for it with the bikes. Walking is for suckaz! 😉

Bakshish? Bakshish? Yeah, it gets a bit tiring fending off people looking for your "loaded foreigner" dollar. Guess it’s part of the experience though. Better they have it than some smack head in London 🙂

  4. Thanks, although perhaps a blog in English would be more useful. Still, it has pictures 🙂
