That's big business for ya..

12mths ago the entire company was informed it was moving from Baker Street to Marble Arch.

3mths ago our division was informed that it was to move to Liverpool Street in the city.

1mth ago our division was told there was no space yet and we’d remain at Baker Street until May.

Last week everyone else moved to Marble Arch and we were told we were forced to leave on March 23rd, not May.

Yesterday we were told we are not moving to the city but a serviced office on Oxford Street for two months starting this Friday.

Tomorrow, the 13th we pack.

Friday 14th we move.

Hippy Turns 15 Today

That’s mental age.. a few more years and the teenage angst, invincibility and ‘total knowledge’ will finally be behind me, right?

Happy Birthday me!

Thanks to everyone who made it to the Comedy Store, I had a top night. To everyone who didn’t make it, thanks for your well wishes. To the rest – your voodoo dolls are nearly completed 😉 Thanks for all my groovy pressies too! Nice work folks – you all rock!

Thought for the day..

Inscription

In the future, people will judge the age of museum artefacts by looking for the ancient inscription “Microwave Safe”.

This came to me while I washed dishes. It’s obviously a sign I should stop.

Crunchy Nuts

Weetbix

For all their hype, Crunchy Nut Cornflakes are just normal Cornflakes (a poor excuse for food as it is) hosed down with some kind of industrial-strength binding agent – I’m guessing a PVC pipe glue – then sprinkled with painted mouse shit.

Tried and true Weeties don’t exist here but there are something called Weet-a-flakes (sp?) which I’ve been told to try. Oh and just like the Tim Tam vs. Penguin non-argument, there exists here a bastardised and far inferior version of Weet-bix called Weetabix.

Riding is good. Thanks to my not-so-new method of ‘wake early, haul arse’ I beat the rain this morning. Bet you thought this post was going to be about my testicles? 😛

Hope you all had a nice xmas and nye..

I did. Polish/Aussie xmas, showing Mal’s folks around London, and then a relatively quiet NYE in the city watching some cool fireworks. I think I was partied out by the time NYE rolled around anyway so it was good to give the internal organs some rest (that’s if I have any left).

The crazy critters at BCH put me to shame when it comes to xmas decorations, especially since I had none. I was able to bask in the glow from everyone else’s xmas lights (seems the Westies love that kind of thing), safe in the knowledge that Al Gore won’t be hunting me down for having an excessive carbon footprint.

London is feckin’ great to be riding around these days. The weather is nice (relative term) and traffic is at an absolute minimum. “There’s no rest for the wicked” must surely apply to me then, as I seem to be one of a very small minority who are actually working in London at the moment! Where did everyone else go? Did Ryanair have another ticket special or something? I’d be jealous but the lack of a 2k-long traffic jam on fUxbridge Rd. suits me just fine! The fixie is back together (good thing since the Ribble is now dead) and out in force. I really should hunt down a smaller gearing setup though as the current 46-17T is fine when the roads are barren but tiresome when the stop/start nonsense begins again. Yeah and I should also do this and that and this and.. “oh look, a website about procrastination..”

Merry Xmas and all the best for 2007 to anyone I didn’t say similar to already. Stayed tuned for more ranting and whining when the good mood wears off.. should happen some time tomorrow.
